I apologize for the delay in my posts, but my god how is it already JUNE? I have been shooting so many weddings, concept shoots, and engagements that I haven’t gotten a chance to breathe. I have been editing everything so please stay tuned for some great images later this month. While you wait for those, I have a great gift guide for you just in time for Father’s Day!

There is something that is so beautiful when capturing a couples wedding. It’s the day you can see someone run through all kinds of emotions. Indian weddings are something else because there is so much to capture! There is so much color and culture that makes any picture pop. I recently did a wedding and words do not actually convey how beautiful the couple, family, and wedding truly was. Congratulations to Sveta and Anand!
I had such a blast photographing Sonal and Chris’s wedding last month. They met at UT Southwestern Medical School and had their wedding at the Omni in Irving because it was near the lake. It was something Sonal felt this hotel had such a beautiful aesthetic to it, which was perfect for their wedding. I had asked Sonal what was extremely important to her during her wedding. She explained to me it was so important for them to enjoy their wedding and actually be a part of the wedding festivities. She was afraid of getting lost in the little things and losing sight fo what was truly important. “Fortunately, we actual were able to enjoy the wedding, friends, and family without being too overwhelmed.” Sonal and Chris are currently postdocs living in San Diego. Chris is trying to generate new therapies for breast cancer while Sonal studies the development of the brain to better understand neurodegenerative diseases. They are truly talented at what they do and I wish them the best in all of their future endeavors Finally, I asked Sonal does she have any advice for future brides:
Decide early on the things you are negotiable on and the things you are certain on. This way you can keep things in perspective and be flexible on the things that matter less.
It’s been a long journey for me to get where I am today, but I can say with confidence I love what I do! I love to tell brides my favorite time to shoot is whenever they are getting ready. It’s the moment you can capture all of her emotions before her big moment. It’s the moment I feel brides look the most beautiful. I just recently did an event for a bride and these were just some of my favorite shots. I was able to capture her laughing, smiling, talking; her true beauty. Also, it was such a pleasure to finally meet the talented Ms. Painted Lady.

I had such a blast shooting Sony Chang this past week. Sony Chang is such an inspring person as she continues to work three jobs and pursues to be a doctor. Sony just got signed on by Calladus Agency and we decided to build her portfolio. There are no words to describe how fun this shoot was because she is so comfortable in front of the lens. It’s pretty clear from the shots we took. We shot everything at the W Hotel in Dallas and her wardrobe is from Gregory’s. Sony Chang you are a breathe of fresh air and it was a pleasure to do this shoot.
My latest shoot with Red Paisleys Designs was such a beautiful one. Neelam Mathrani, owner and designer of Red Paisleys is one talented women. She has dedicated her career to combine design and her clients vision into tangible pieces. She came to me and asked if I would like to help shoot her latest bridal couture collection. There is something about Indian bridal outfits. All of her pieces are just full of color, sequence, and culture. We decided to shoot at the Cotton Mill in McKinney because the rustic layout was the perfect background to help her outfits pop.
